Effective 1/5/2025, Sabina Ledda & Caroline de Reu will take over the BovenMaas baton from Founder Eric Smith.

Eric has spent 20 years building BovenMaas Prenataal with dedication and passion to become the prenatal screening ultrasound expertise center in the R’dam and The Hague region. Eric may slow down and enjoy a well-deserved retirement together with Marjet Commijs, his mainstay inside and outside BovenMaas Prenataal.

It is up to us and the BovenMaas team to continue his work with the same intentions. Eric and Marjet remain involved as our quality advisor.

We are looking forward to it!

How do I make an appointment?

  • By phone on weekdays between 09:00 and 16:00 by calling +31 (0)10 – 737 02 74.
  • Via email on info@bovenmaasprenataal.nl.
  • By using the button below ‘make an appointment’ on this page (you’ll find this button on various pages on this website). You will then be taken to our appointment calendar where you can schedule an appointment yourself.

What to bring with you to the appointment?

  • A valid ID
  • Your insurance details
  • If applicable, the completed application form (only if the midwife/GP has not submitted a digital application via healthcare email).

Please note: We are unfortunately unable to perform an ultrasound examination without proof of identity and/or insurance information.

What to do if you are not able to attend?

If you are unable to attend, you can cancel your appointment up to 24 hours in advance via email info@bovenmaasprenataal.nl or call us at: +31 (0)10 – 737 02 74.

We kindly request you:

  • Do not take more than one person with you and no children at the 13 and 20 week ultrasound. It is a medical examination.
  • Do not take pictures or video. If the examination allows this, you will receive an ultrasound photo from the ultrasound technician after the examination.
